I'm with Stupid was a game where the GM would present a list of 7-12 questions, and players would answer, scoring points based on how many people gave the same answer to that question.

Assassin (Play 1, GM 2)
A great game, and a great concept- secret, hidden votes were a gerat experiment, they added to the intrigue and the story!
another thing I wanted to try in it, but didn't have the time to- was to allow the Assassins to know who each other were and to coordinate killings, pass messages, etc.
I think that assassin had more potential than mafia but was never as popular, since it didn't allow for as much spam- therefore it sadly went by teh wayside...
Mafia (Play 5)
A good brainless, time-wasting game. But it's fun and it has intrigue.
Nuclear War (Play 4, GM 1)
To play it right- it takes time to make alliances, send messages, etc. But it's at its core a simple, but fun game about sending weapons flying cross=country at each other!
Society (Play 5, GM 1)
Possibly the greatest forum game! This is Civilization II without the AI!
People conspire against each other and make alliances and send trade, etc. and it only takes 20 minutes to an hour to craft turns.
It has so many potential twists and turns that it's jsut fun to play!
Heroes of Might and Magic (1 GM)
This had potential but I didn't have time to GM it amazingly well and some of the players didn't send their turns on time, so it sort of failed. I think it was a good game and if developed could have become a classic like Society, thought. It had all the attributes, good battles, good balance, variety, etc.
Gladiator (never playeD)
Seems confusing.
Nascar (never played)_
see above + seems like it takes a lot of time.
Galactic Overlord (never playeD)
confusing seeming/ like it takes a lot of time
Vampire (never played)
No comment, haven't played
Hangman (intermittent)
JKust seems spammy. I'm not on long enough to benefit from this game- since you need to be on a lot to gain points.
Name that game (played once)
I don't have time to cheat at this game and google games. If people didn't cheat, it'd be a lot mroe fun nailing obscure titles!

Not quite sure if I understand this one, but it is mafia with a story line, or D&D Mafia with a Vampire edge?Be good, and if at first you don't succeed, perhaps failure will be back in fashion soon. -- teh Spamski

Just finished getting killed in my first FG -- Mafia. Having fun, it's a good group. Have tossed the occasional letter into the Hangman game, but it seems to require great timing to be a winner, and I just don't have that.
I'm here for the social interaction and sense of community. Postcount means nothing, since I'm most certainly going to be an Emperor for many years and don't aspire to anything more. But a lot of folks I like seem to hang over here, so I may be around more often.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

I think it just looks like cheating, since the game knowledge of the NTG players taken as a whole is simply so much better than yours. You should be careful what accusations you make.
When I skim things I usually make mistakes.
(In the past, I wouldn't admit that, but on some forums I've said a strange assortment of idiotic things in recent years due to skimming, thus, that must be said)Last edited by DarkCloud; December 30, 2004, 21:18.-->Visit CGN!

Also, people sometimes google an answer when they think they can't get it or it is really bugging them. This is declared in the thread and the person does not take part in further guessing.

I love all forum games.
Formula 1
I used to play this one on paper in school. Along with football on paper, the Northern War on paper and chess. I'm expert in this game, but much depends on the start position i.e. luck.
Mafia
Great and simple concept. I play this one in real life too. Convincing other people not to vote for you when you're threatened by a pile is the best fun in my opinion.
Nuclear War
Played builder strategy once to win, now decided to change for the fun of it.
Gladiator
You play alone against a single opponent at each moment. This nullifies any animosities/piles/alliances/grudges against you. Completely different than other forum games. To much dependant on luck though.
Galactic Overlord
Brilliant game by equally brilliant Jamski. Zero luck, maximum strategy and treachery. Perfect enjoyment.
Assassins
A fine game but involves too much secret PMing and too few posting anything meaningless. That was the game's undoing I think.
Hangman
Sometimes, in order to guess a word, I need to refresh the thread each 2-3 minutes. Great for playing at work.
Name the Game
I simply haven't played that many games, I must admit.
Society
If two conspire against you, you're doomed. Quite unlike Galactic Overlord for instance. I don't like that nobody offered me a helping hand when DarkCloud started his unprovoked several turns long attack on me which resulted in my destruction.

Jamski, you are a genius. What a monster you have created. Awesome fun. Come back dude, the drones miss you.
I've been waiting a month for GO 6 to end having been eliminated early.
I've just signed up for GO 7 and I'm anticipating more treachery and evilness

Yes you have misunderstood completely. The game setter often gives links to games after it's been gussed so people can see screenies.
