Problem is, circumstances may favor one player delaying the game until he can catch up or overwhelm another player. FE, if Sparrow had a greater build rate than Spike right now.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

I think there is no need to reduce endgame tedium by stepping up time pressures at a time when many people are busy.........I know Sparrow is too.
The dragging it out phenomenon isn't really a problem here, or in future games now that infinite spy sleaze has been stopped.

And I agree with Ljube about the end game tedium, one of the reasons I allied with DrSpike to take out Theben is to bring about resolution to this game. However now that we are down to 2 players, it is too my advantage to drag it out as long as possible, to negate DrSpike's superior advantage. I would be doing Geo an injustice to do any less then all I can to win (and if by some miracle I do win, I consider it to be a win for Geo, as this is his empire, not mine......plus should I lose I don't want to be the only one to lose the same game.......twice ).
With that in mind, I do try and send in my orders as quickly as possible, with the hope that we can end this game and get a new sign up started for the next one.

Round 21 - "Transporter accident"
DrSpike has finally had enough of Sparrowhawk’s hiding so he ordered his entire fleet to the Trabe space to search for him and find him. He trusted the Trabe leadership no more.
But ahead of his fleet, DrSpike sent Weyoun on a diplomatic and information gathering mission. In spite of the fact that he received no word from Weyoun, founder DrSpike was overconfident in his numbers and assumed command of the fleet personally. But when they reached the Trabe space an energy discharge caused by the Trabe inter-phased shields destroyed the Dominion flagship severely damaging another laser titan. DrSpike had just enough time to use his portable long range teleport and escape to safety of his home base before his laser titan exploded. Abandoned by the founder, the Dominion fleet turned back.
Later in the Dominion headquarters founder DrSpike learned that Ambassador Weyoun had suffered a tragic transporter accident on the Trabe home world.
