Round 17 - Fortune favours the bold
The meeting of the high council of the Dominion attended by founder DrSpike, chairman Sparrowhawk of the Trabe and Vorta Weyoun (Commander of the Dominion forces). Pralor AU commanding unit SC was not invited.
Weyoun explains the plan to Chairman Sparrowhawk.
“The Dominion strength has been compromised by the weakness of one of its members. The Pralor AUs don’t deserve to be members of the Dominion. Our analysis shows they are not only the weakest link, but also most likely to revolt against the order Dominion is going to establish in the quadrant.”
“What does it mean Weyoun?” Sparrowhawk didn’t get it.
“It means we’re going to eliminate the weakest link. We have decided to eradicate the Pralor AUs,” Weyoun replied.
“What? You cannot commit genocide! And against your own ally!”
“The decision was reached at the highest level of the Dominion,” Weyoun maintained his composure. Then he continued cynically: “Are you questioning the will of the founders? That wouldn’t be wise.”
Chairman Sparrowhawk thought for a while, looked at DrSpike and replied: “Of course not. We serve the founders.”
“Don’t we all?” Weyoun concluded the discussion.

But at least one solid species in the delta quadrant doesn’t serve the founders. It’s the Kazon led by charismatic Supreme Maje Theben. And they decided to punish the Pralor AUs for their blind service of the Dominion. And the Kazon caught the Pralor unprepared.
Battle No.1: Theben attacks Spaced Cowboy
Theben: 3LT, 4FT, 5TT, 3FD, 64LB, 22FB, 25TB, OoB: LLT-FTF, close in, normal, fight to the death
Spaced Cowboy: 28LC, 27FC, 28TC, OoB: TFL-TFL, normal, normal
414L – 112T – Spaced Cowboy takes 302 hits
828L – 54F – Spaced Cowboy takes 774 hits
200T – 112L – Spaced Cowboy takes 88 hits and he is utterly destroyed
Spaced Cowboy has tried Whoha’s trick from the beginning of this game (building 2 bases in the same turn) and got the same reward.
His 16 bases are occupied by the Kazon.

Meanwhile the large Dominion fleet was assembled under Weyoun’s command. The Trabe fleet did not arrive however, not that anyone had hoped it would.
“I have expected the solids would betray the Dominion. It’s in their nature. No matter, we shall deal with all of them one by one,” DrSpike commented the absence of the Trabe.
“Glorious founder, the Dominion has not suffered a defeat in 10000 years of its existence. We don’t need any solids by our side. We shall enforce our rule upon them,” Weyoun replied.
And so the Dominion fleet set course for Pralor space. But when they arrived to the coordinates, they found a large Kazon fleet there. Lacking orders from the founder to attack the Kazon, the large Dominion fleet returned to their bases.

Holy ****, I'm alive!?I'm consitently stupid- Japher
I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Sparrowhawk, I think you're in trouble now...

Actually I've wondered about that myself. I believe it's only for planned allied assaults that fail, but there isn't a clear ruling.
Looking back there have been a couple of other mistakes made during the game.I'm consitently stupid- Japher
