I have it. Actually my cousin bought it, and he lives w/ me so vicariously I own it. And it forking RULEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Actually it doesn't. It is a great game, but it is a victim of over hype, and an original title that is far superior to the sequel.
Well at least so far. I'm only half way through the second level on Normal mode. The game is fun, but I has some fundamental changes that take away from the fun of the original. You no longer have a health meter. You have only shields and you shield meter is half the size of the original, but it recharges wayyy faster. This is annoying, b/c you can no longer just ‘Rambo’ the little covenant bastards all sly Stallone style. It is a much more tactical game, where you have to shoot and hide, or in some cases run. It is still fun, but the colors of the original game seem to have gone. The levels are way more free flowing, and seem less like you are just being directed through them.
I haven’t tried the multi yet, I home alone from school, but the reviews that I’ve heard seem to be good. On g4 tech TV’s “Halo 2 Day” they said that the multi levels seemed more tailored for the gigantic parties of people who would play on XBOX Live. They said that there don’t seem to be very many small levels for the 4 to 8 player parties.
Oh well, more still to be said, but I need further “research” to be done. Back to the lab
