  • hmm not sure, but probably - i've gotten into the habit of turning my console games onto 'hard' difficulty setting. Still it usualy just makes the 'boss' badies that much harder to defeat i find, which can sometimes be frustrating?
I do/have had all my chars killed in this game - so i'm not complaining that its that easy all the time

So i'll see how it pans out. As with many games i don't mind a technical handicap a game gives me if i can role-play around it. I might not end up with an uber character in KOTOR - but as Dis said, the game is kind of a walkthrough, its strength imho being the abiltiy to pull you into its star wars universe, which it does very well
I'm pwning the poor pazak player in the hunting lodge - i've won about 3000 credits out of him so far.

HK must be eveyones fav character right? I'm still laughing at his dialogue - they did an excellent job with him (for Bioware)
HK is the man...erm...droid. In both K1 and K2. Although in K2 he's probably a minor character compared to Kreia and the rest.

Just get HK's definition of "love" and everything will fall in to place.

      • both games are very easy. The only challenge comes with Bendak Starkiller (though grenades work well on him) and the 2 boss battles at the end of each game (though there are tricks that work with them as well)

did you get the HK pacifier chip? Hilarious. too bad you can't leave it in and have 2 sets of full dialogue.

            • not if you are a level 2 scoundrel.

the problem with the first game is I tend to "save up" those levels for Jedi levels. Though I usually bring my character up to level 4 or so so I can take out Bendak without too much trouble.

              • They should nerf saving up levels for jedi levels.

                • No way! Its the only way to get enough Jedi levels!

                    • I got plenty of levels with Jedi levels only post-whatever point i got Jedi.

In fact, I played non-jedi characters relatively often ... scouts with good minelaying capability (KOTOR2 especially) are GREAT characters, sometimes getting out of spots Jedi can't ...

                      • I rarely used mines in Kotor2. Except in certain battles where you can't use your jedi character (her name starts with an M).

In Kotor 1 I used to use them on that gamorran boss in the sewers. And maybe a couple other places in the early game.

grenades are more useful in the first game as well. In the second game you don't need them much (though ion greandes are useful on the pegasus)

                        • Grenades actually are really powerful when you use the right ones for the fight. If the difficulty was turned up a bit they would be very popular I think.

                          Mines are a bit tedious.

I've kept a save before leaving Tarris, so i can have another go at some point. He was the only 'loose-end' i hadn't chased up on Tarris.

                              • dont play RPG,hated NVN etc but i tried this a week ago-its not that bad.

i got my @ss owned by bendak no matter how much i reloaded or grenade-abused though :/ maybe my character is to low,but i had just completed most of tarris and was before the leave-tarris quest(although this combat system is completly foreign)

just got the starmap from tattoine, not sure where i going next

about level 15 or something IIRC,ii was going for darkside but then the lame thugery of the dialogue is making me go LS.i choosed a bunch of DS powers so i think ill cheat to give myself LS powers, unless they automaticly switch when i finnaly get LS again

something refered to earlier is level saving.whats that?
