with such a powerfull computer you may have problems running some of the older titles mentioned(especialy the pre XP ones), so go for the latest/newest versions.
And for an RPG, Morrowind is a good bet(loads of fan based stuff to play with too) - infact you might be able to run Oblivion(Morrowind2) on your setup

good question, when did xp come out? i'm guessing at stuff older than a 2000 release date, but am not 100% sure. XP is not a very game friendly version from what people say, so just be aware that older software(like SystemShock2 and BaldursGate1+2) might have a few problems. Its possible to find a fix for many though(even CTP2 got a fan made XP fix!).
Really i was just giving you a heads up - as i guess a mostly Mac user it might be helpfull to know that ok the PC has more games than you can shake a stick at, BUT not every computer can run all of them

No, because that would take away sales from Halo 2 Xbox, and give people less reason to buy an Xbox. It was the same for the original game; the PC version didn't come out for at least year after the original game.
