  • Evil Genius game

Anyone play the demo for Evil Genius? The game looks fun. I would describe it as Austin Powers where you get to be Dr Evil. You are a basically a Bond villain and you must build your secret base, recruit henchmen, to ultimately rule the world.

The demo is good but I did find the interface and controls to be a bit clunky.

    See the website here:
'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.'"

The graphics looks sucky, so haven't tried it, nor had the interest to do so...
This space is empty... or is it?

forum threads i've read on it seem pretty positive. the real game is supposedly different than the demo(read: an improvement).

        Very fun game.

I like how it evolves as you play, makign each game basically a self-contained campaign.

It's fun. It gets a bit frustrating every now and then, with some rather awkward design decisions (minions letting agents in anyone?) but overall it's enjoyable, and the humour makes me laugh every now and then. I'm just aching to get to a new island to redesign my base, to make it much better.

However, do NOT under ANY circumstances hire Ivan as your henchman. That bazooka will do more harm than good. I've had to keep him outside the base and out of any scuffles whatsoever, since that damn bazooka has killed more minions than agents.

i quite liked the Demo but it was so hectic.
Due to the permanent high Setting of Heat I think.
Is the Game less stressfull? :=)

Yes, less stressful, unless you are effectively bleeding the world dry of money and doing Acts of Infamy left and right. But then you should be facing a horde of agents if you're doing that.
