OMG!! Spikie isn't last!?!
/me considers becoming a theist.I'm consitently stupid- Japher
I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

ARGH! Missing Jamski's orders. And DOY's too.
Ljube sent me orders for a battle against Spikie, I'm going to jot that down under "Disasterous error of thought", like my killing of Snowflake in Mafia 27.Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

Lord Drogue 7 points (11)
Spacius Maximus 5 points (9)

So if someone proffered a draw, they can't go back on it. I think the ability to be 'done-over' makes it less likely for people to agree draws, which is better for the crowd, more interesting in terms of what happens, and more realistic. Strategically breaking a treaty is used in many games, so rejecting someone's orders if they are correct (ie. under 100 and all lines under 50) would seem to be going a little far. Both gladiators would have to step out, a draw would simply be putting 0 0 0 in all lines, not trying anything. If the other one decides to suddenly surprise and attack, what would be stopping them? There is a rule against attacking your opponent?
I think Ljube managed to play Spikie well, if the orders are intended. I've never seen a GM be able to enforce a private agreement between competitors in that way.Smile

We'll have to discuss that further. Had Ljube put in that he intended to break the draw, I would have thought otherwise. If the players agree with each other that they go with 00 00 00 or agree on numbers that cause no damage to either one, of course I won't interfere with that. But this was more of the kind of draw where the gladiators don't even step out to the arena in the first place, at least that is how I understood it. I also took into account that it's been many days so Ljube may not even remember that he agreed to a draw - also, his orders, looking at them, suggested to me that he was prepared for a battle, not a backstab butchering.Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test.
