You should post the total points each person has too.I'm consitently stupid- Japher
I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Total points? As in, how many points, wins, losses, ties everyone has? I thought I posted that
Also, any ready spreadsheet would have been useless, I only have OpenOffice, and afaik that can't read Excel files.Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

Oh, my mistake. But at least I got to practice my mad spreadsheet skills. It made this so damn easy that I'm feeling very stupid now for doing all the calculations in my head before. Mind, I did check them rather meticulously for errors, that's why it was so hard. Well, not hard, but time consuming.
Round 2 Final Results
Battle 1: Jamski-san vs. Lord Drogue
The battle starts off with some dashing and clanging as the two gladiators test their mettle. However, neither can get home a decisive blow, and the third segment begins with both at full health. However, in the final segment, Jamski is blinded momentarily by the setting sun, and Drogue goes right for his head with his sword. Jamski dodges at the last moment, but the blade does make a minuscule cut on Jamski's ear, for one single point of damage.
Drogue has 100 HP, Jamski has 99 HP. Drogue wins.
Battle 2: Jack the Knife vs. Jamski-san
1. Jamski-san, not feeling too good after the first three segments, tries his best to sneak up behind Jack the Knife to give him a wedgie. Close, but no cigar.
2. The martial artist does, however, succeed in throwing a kick to Jack's side, but it doesn't connect properly, and only scores 9 points of damage. Jack recovers almost instantenously, grabs the leg in midair and hacks at it with his trusty, and rusty, knife for 19 points of damage.
3. With his main weapon now hurting, Jamski decides to just deflect Jack's further blows.
Jamski at 58, Jack at 81. Jack the Knife wins.
Battle 3: Emperor Commodus vs. Cpt. Flint
Commodus will think that I will think that he will think that I won't do it again. So I will surprise him and do it again! And so Boo, er, Flint goes for Commodus' eyes. The hook doesn't quite get there, but it does give Commodus a handsome cheek scar for 8 points of damage. Commodus just takes a swing and nonchalantly deals 23 points of damage. The remaining two segments are spent dodging and striking.
Flint at 69, Commodus at 92. Commodus wins.
Battle 4: Trident Guy vs. Emperor Commodus
For the first two segments, the exhausted Trident Guy decides to just sit and see what happens. Commodus is suspecting a ploy, and decides to follow suit and make the best of what he can of this unexpected break. However, in the third segment, 'The Emperor' finally grows weary, skips over to Trident Guy and slaps him in the face for 10 points of damage.
Trident Guy at 80, Commodus at 100. Commodus wins.
Battle 5: Lord Drogue vs. Spacius Maximus
Both at 100 HP. A tie. Nothing else needs to be said, really.
Battle 6: Spacius Maximus vs. Jack the Knife
1. Armed with a colossal shield and a toothpick, probably copying his adversary from Gladiator V, Spacius remains unscathed at Jack's brazen attempts. The toothpick is there just so that he can deny copying The Doctor outright.
2. In the second segment, Jack throws his knife in an interesting attempt up to the air right above Spacius. Spacius stares at the weapon wondering what the heck is going on, when Jack sneaks up on him and just stomps on his feet for 11 points of damage.
3. Spacius isn't pleased at all, and pokes Jack with his toothpick for 2 points of damage. Jack grabs the knife as it drops from the heavens and pokes back for 15 points of damage.
Spacius at 74, Jack at 98. Jack the Knife wins.
Battle 7: Captain Flint vs. The Doctor
With both battlers in the sixties of their HP, both get very careful. The end result is a rather dull second leg, with no damage to either.
Captain Flint has 64 HP, The Doctor has 68. The Doctor wins.
Battle 8: The Doctor vs. Trident Guy
The same happens here; but at least they try to make a show out of it. Bob's threat to make the gladiator fees dependent of spectator turnout probably had some effect on this.
The Doctor has 62 HP, Trident Guy has 52. The Doctor wins.

I'm putting a 48 hour deadline on this, hopefully this time next week we'll already be doing the semis. I do need to start thinking about what to do with Sheep should he fail to appear; he *has* lost all of his games so far so it wouldn't be really unfair for anyone if he just automatically forfeited and lost the ones in Round 3 as well. He does have a theoretical possibility of making it to the semis, as far as I can see, though. Thoughts? Suggestions?Last edited by Kassiopeia; October 6, 2004, 06:12.Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

I am not coming back as I feel I have been cheated.Don't tell a twisted person he is twisted, he may take offence. (THAT MEANS ME!)

But you haven't. Like I said, the spectator throwing the bottle thing was just fiction. In reality your opponent did the damage fair and square. It's just to spice up the game a bit.Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

I think that I've been cheated too, but that's only because I'm not winning, and will send in orders for the next three rounds in a moment.

If someone withdraws in this game it screws it up, because there is no 'fair' solution. I tried at the start to make the point that no one should sign up unless they thought they would complete the matches. We must stress this more in future.
If Sheep wont complete I hope the GM can use some artificial order construction mechanism to make the other players earn any win against him.
