  • Day 8: Double edged Murray

Doc, master of the Murray, had enlisted the aid of the ghost of GeneralTacticus to put the spotlight on DarkCloud's sprawling empire. Though his cities were cleverly disguised, the locations of Glass, Translucence, Mirage, and Illusion were easily discovered by Doc's four nuclear missiles.

Nonetheless, two of the nukes began to act erratically as they approached DarkCloud's coast. Doc watched with nervous satisfaction as Mirage and Illusion turned into two very real mushroom clouds. The other two missiles, well, this was a strange thing, as Doc knew his missiles to have a 100% reliability rate.

Ten minutes later, he found out why. Darkcloud's deflector system had sent the nukes into a polar orbit, and the warheads were now making a re-entry back at their launch sites. Two big booms were reported in Doc's country, and that was the last anyone heard of him.

    ---------------------------

Remarkably, there were peaceful pursuits made in this day of madness, as Jonny constructed the new fortress of Inconquerable. Sparrowhawk, meanwhile, was engaged in some sort of secret activity.

                  • Day 9: Nuclear Ping Pong

After a couple days of advance preparation, Sparrowhawk struck back at DarkCloud. Sparrow had planned well and was prescient enough to foresee the odd events of the day.

Four missiles streaked over the border to DarkCloud, who had the foresight to turn the deflectors on. While Glass and Translucence blew up, the other two nukes were sent off to Jonny.

Jonny also had expected some unfriendly action, and had his deflectors on as well, positioned at DarkCloud. Though the city of Inconquerable fell (it wasn't conquered though- it was destroyed), the last nuke was sent off for one wild ride.

Returning to DarkCloud, it was the fifth missile incoming and was subsequently bounced back around the world to Joncha. Since this was the third strike on Joncha, the missile simply kept going and back to DarkCloud, and became the sixth inbound and the third to impact. The looping journey had done nothing to diminish the warhead's potency, and DarkCloud was promptly wasted.

                      You mean Jonny, right?

Actually, it wasn't that wild. It should've gotten through to Darkcloud after Jonny's first deflection - you can't deflect the same nuke twice.

                        • Yeah, I meant Jonny.

It doesn't say a nuke can't be deflected twice:

When deflecting nukes to a certain player, every second nuke to arrive that turn will be deflected to another player (Which has to be included in the orders). The nukes which get deflected is: 1, 3, 5… while 2, 4, 6… will hit
