Well, that was a miserable attack. Smiley's laser barrage wiped out my fighters, and that was that. And now he has a 4 BP advantage over me. Goody.

Frigates have 2 hps each. If the 24 extra damage is spread out I nearly double the firepower that already in the worst case scenario wipes out your fleet

there were a variety of things wrong with the calculations(in penance for being such a pain in the ass about this I agree to gm the next game).

spread out doubles fighter damage against my fleet, and halves torpedo damage against my fleet. You got the rules correct in some parts, but were probably tired when you did my fight with geo

This first line is wrong, Torpedos beat lasers, and his fleet is not spread out, so I should get an adjusted value of 28 torpedos here. which reduces my damage to 4, or 2 torpedo frigate losses.

Here fighters are doubled for no reason apparently, I should take 10 more damage

40 L 16 T Geomodder takes 24 damage
whats wrong here is that while lasers to beat torpedos, therefore doubling the 8 to 16 for geo, it gets halved by my spread. this should be 40L to 8T, Geo takes 32 damage

Losses are incorrectly calculated for both of us. I lose 2 torpedo frigates, 10 fighter frigates, and there are 34 points of damage to be distributed(I lose 16 frigates from the pool of 22.) If losses are divided equally I lose 8 of my 12 TFs and 8 of my 10 LFs bringing me down to 4 TF,2LF. Geo loses both of his torpedo dreadnaughts, and the rest of the damage should be halved to 2 laser cruiser losses and 1 fighter dreadnaught loss.

So as it turns out Geo does survive with 1 laser dreadnaught to show for it, damn me for catching that fighter error, but I'm pretty sure that with Geo's life on the line he'd have found it.

Also I did only spend 14 BP last turn, so I should have 16 BP this turn.

You are right, I thought that it was an offensive bonus, not a defensive one. That means that I F'd up all the combat, cuz I was consistent through the combats with this. I will make the corrections in the morning...when i can see straight. (or I'll change the rules to make it an offensive bonus). I almost tried to change that part to make it more like fighters.
