  • Hehe, you're just sore that you sent me 3 PM's after the turn before you realised I avenged my ally's death. Or attempted to anyway.

    • Why can't I build ships?

Well sort of. I had so much trust in you that I just assumed outright that a spy had stopped your fleet. What a silly thing to do.

You need home bases to build ships. Your available cap for ship size is without any home bases zero = no ships.

        • It would be wrong to ally with those who killed my ally. Plus Joncha and you would have killed me next after Skanky.

          • I wonder if "avenging your ally" will balance out the bad karma you get from backstabbing people.

You don't have any bases that are your own, only captured bases, and they do not count towards the build limits.

Also, take your time with the orders, I forgot to send the files home again.

                      • Now THAT was fun!
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

I am perhaps a little biased ( ) but that seems strange. Why can't they count in a ratio to built bases like with BP. That seems fairest.

                          • Well, first of all, it means you have to actually work to be able to construct bigger ships, isntead of just rushing someone and using their bases to enable them... hwoever, if you want it rationalised, I'd say it's because your home abses are wher ethe manufacturing and such take place, while the captured ones are just feeding you extra resources.

                            • It is also a long-standing rule that should not come as a shock to you.

                              • I'm not asking for a 'realism' rationale GT, I'm just stating that these bases should count for balance reasons towards build limits. Now as you say they shouldn't count equally as compared to built bases, but they should count. With BP we use a system where captured bases count for less. I think it makes sense to use a similar system for build limits.
