I am wary of games such as these. Games that sell due to sex probably haven't got the same level of gameplay that games selling due to their gameplay have. Gameplay takes a second, or worse, priority for these games.
and games that sell due to blood and gore????

Thank you to the first pervert to turn up.
I thought that coeducational meant something to do with Joint Honours studies here, or with general studies, etc.
Back in the Old days, universities were for men. then someone came up with the idea that women should also have higher education . Some founded colleges for women (first in the US was Vassar I believe? Radcliffe a bit later?) Others founded Colleges for both men and women, IE "coeducational" institutions - Cornell first in US, IIRC. Of course majority of students were still men, and women made the place "coeducational" and were called "coeds". The term is basically obsolete now, when single sex colleges are uncommon, men and women are present in more or less equal numbers at "coed" schools, and women play a more equal role. The term survives in the recesses of the male mind, I suppose.

.......are also sometimes bad. But the existence of blood and gore can (and often does) coexist with a great game.
so does skanky have no reason to be wary of the games featured in THIS thread?
Or is the problem that they will draw Sunday gamers?

the term is also used in dorms. Such as a Co-ed Dormatory. Which means men and women in the same building. I believe many colleges have these as well now.

Well the point is Skanky was (correctly) worried that they were using sex to sell the game, which probably doesn't have much gameplay. You made the gore comment. I am sure Skanky would agree that he dislikes games where blood and gore sell the game instead of gameplay, but I had to point out that they are not mutually exclusive and there are games with both gore and gameplay. I know of no sex-sells games for which this is true. Even Sam Fox Strip Poker sucked.

Ive never played Final Fantasy - that of course has violence as well as Lara Croft.
I wonder about the new game "Singles" which seems to be a more "adult" version of the Sims. Of course Ive never played the Sims either. But from comments here it seems like it would be possible to improve on the gameplay in the Sims.

LotM are you smoking something you should share with us? Your posts are uncharacteristically incomprehensible. You seem to not be reading what you are replying to, and Lara Croft is from Tomb Raider.
1. Tomb raider, Final fantasy, whats the difference - one of those games i dont play.
2. Oy, do i have to spell everything out.
Ive never played (edit)Tomb Raider a game that sold in part because of the sexiness of the main character IE it sold on account of sex - that of course has violence as well as Lara Croft IE aside from gameplay, which i cant comment on cause i aint played (and am so unfamiliar i could confuse it with a totally different game) it has another "irrelevant factor" violence - as well as sex
I wonder about the new game "Singles" which seems to be a more "adult" version of the Sims and thereby would be seem to be an example of a game without violence, but has sex and gameplay. Of course Ive never played the Sims eitherso i cant really speak to gameplay issues for the less sexy game that established the genre. But from comments here it seems like it would be possible to improve on the gameplay in the Sims thus it may be that a sexy game, Singles, will also represent an improvement in its genre's gameplay
Happy now?
