  • Processing turn now, although I'm not sure if I interpreted Spaced's orders correctly... if I did mistinterpret them, say so, and I'll revise the turn.

        • If you, uh, "misinterpreted" my OoB, will you revise the turn as well?

            • Round 12: A Clash of Titans

After two turns of tense anticipation, the moment finally came: the Alliance’s final bid for control of the galaxy. As Joncha’s last shields were expended, his fleet commanders fully expected to have to meet the enemy in battle. They were not to be disappointed.

Spaced Cowboy’s fleet is destroyed and his attack fails.
Spaced and Geo had thrown all the dice on this attack; they knew there would not be another chance. However, as it turned out, their gamble failed. Joncha’s battle plan for the first three rounds was flawless, and he would likely have gone unscathed had Spaced not spread his ships out, allowing his lasers to concentrate on Joncha’s ships rather than his torpedoes. This formation, however, was to be Spaced’s undoing – because while he was launching his torpedoes in response, Joncha’s was launching fighters. They brushed aside the torpedoes with ease and proceeded to annihilate close to half of Spaced’s fleet. After that massacre, it was really all over; the survivors were rapidly mopped up by the fighters and another torpedo salvo.

Meanwhile, just to rub salt into Spaced’s wounds, Smiley chose the occasion of the battle to send a wing of frigates in to claim Spaced’s empire. They met no resistance, and now Smiley took Spaced’s place as his Joncha’s chief rival.

              • Eh, shouldn't I have 72 BPs?

2nd observation: Joncha has twice as much tonnage as I do... cause for concern?

Yes, this is why I suggest we remove the "one of each weapon in each group of three" rule. It's far too easy to utterly crush the enemy in the first three rounds, and then the last three are just mopping up...
