Isn't Wizardy 8 the RPG where you can play as a monkey, elephant or cat?

I've played most games, and usually I just get bored in the same day, so I'm looking for a good story, awesome music + audio and nice atmosphere. I like dark atmosphere in games, but it has to be intense and good.
      Max Payne. Max Payne 2.

So? I recommend wargames in almost every thread of this kind - i would have here if it wasnt clear that he was looking for something else.

oh yeah, maxpain 2 was pretty cool. And yes I'm super difficult to please when it comes to games. I usually give most games a chance, but if in the next hour I'm not totally sucked in and lost the control of time, it sucks. Not because the game would be bad, I just like the games that really addicts me.

And if a game doesn't have a good storyline, it's useless as far as I'm concerned and sadly enough those games are very rare these days. However, it can be made up with excellency in other areas sometimes.

I don't know the first two X-Com's were basically the first games I really really played, I had played a lot before that but it was the first game I really got into. At that time I thought it was the perfect game. And it could fit into few floppy disks None of the less, it was excellent. And still is, I really like to play it still, it just has that atmosphere and all things are really working. Of course most of it now is part of nostalgia, but still, I love it totally.

Again, I say, Try UFO: Aftermath.

              Spike,

Doesn't mean it's not a good game. At least the system is more interesting than AD&D.

The setting isn't atmospheric at all in either Silent Storm or UFO: Aftermath, but at least the former is great on the tactical level. UFO is just yuck. In SS the environment, for instance, can be a tool, in UFO it's just obstacles.

I was so disappointed with SS. I thought it'd be exactly what I needed, but the little atmosphere just killed it.
