Game clue (#3 i think)...
Your character's nickname is Lucky and you're hired to find someone by their father.
TV clue...your character in the game had the same first name as the TV character. The TV series was inspired by a 1930s Cary Grant film according to the producer.
Now the two aren't related buy i always felt there were similarities in style and content.

I was thinking of some private eye/mobster adventure game. I knew it had something to do with "Mr. lucky". I only realized I had the right answer afterwards.
