  • You thought they'd do another Selecting The Core Set promotion, didn't you?

I certainly didn't. They kept dropping comments in their articles about "Oh, we were sure the Llanowar Elves would get in", "We thought Crusade should have been a mortal lock", "My first reaction to the idea was 'No way.'"

    I was wrong.

Wizards of the Coast is a family of studios specializing in building role playing, trading card, and digital games for all genres of players.

    Point of discussion:

They're taking out Birds of Paradise after all. I knew it. They claim they'll be reprinted in the next large expansion, but still

Whats Micheal got to do with this? I don't see this information helping him in bulldozing his opponents arguements...

I don't think MtG replies to any of these threads. I think is some kind of in-joke with Mr President...

I don't know. I guess this might be a factual thread, but without reading it, how the hell would I be able to tell?

Hehe, I meant Magic: The Gathering. That's what I thought the thread was about, since most threads in this forum I don't understand are about it.

Couldn`t there be ONE general thread about MTG?

Well, you have to see to going trend anyway. Wizard runs out of ideas=puts stars from old sets into their new sets (ala wrath, birds, etc. etc. etc.). Word of advice: Stop while you are ahead. I got out when Exodus hit because $20 dollars for a computer game was much better than $150 worth of booster boxes. Magic has been cheapened by greed. They don't care what you want.

                        You know, I'm tempted.

If not now, then maybe after Kamigawa. Right now I feel that I want to get some of the Japanese-themed cards before I retire again.

I still play with my old decks sometimes and I destroy most of the fad decks that roll through every new expansion. People don't play me anymore because they are tired of being owned

What set did you go out on? Depending on if it was Urza block, I can see why no one would want to play you.

Well, the Tempest saga had a lot of very fast creatures and spells. Onslaught, by contrast, was rather slow and had a much higher average mana cost. I could easily imagine a Tempest-era red deck rolling over an Onslaught-era creature deck.
