  • The Even Longer Journey

    a.k.a. Dreamfall

I just saw this E3 article about the game, and it sounds promising, even though it doesn't tell much... but I like what I hear

Does any of you know anything else about this game?
This space is empty... or is it?

No.. but it sounds damned cool .

    The Longest Journey was great!

edit: Here is the official website:

Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, winner of multiple E3 awards as the best game in its genre, is the continuation of a saga that began in the award-winning The Longest Journey, considered to be one of the finest adventure games ever made.

Apparently it's now an 'ACTION-adventure' game. And seemingly is set in the past.

            This worries me.

After what happened to Sam & Max, I'm not holding my breath for a true adventure game.

Put out by the exact same developer as The Longest Journey? What does Lucasarts have to do with any of this?

Me too! Let's hope the gameplay is the same as the fine original.

Well it could work. After all, games like Beyond Good and Evil are Action-Adventures. Dreamfall's makers say it is more adventure than action... let us see how that plays out.

Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin

I've just found out the official site www.dreamfall.com is now up'n'running

It shows some interesting stuff... I like the thing about having 3 different endings for the game... they've also got 3 different characters to play, and now there's 3 worlds...

Yeah, I hope there's not too much action in it...

Would be wise for them to make it optional, so those who wants the action part can get it, those who don't just gets the computer to do the action part for them

The genres tend to gel with difficulty. An action game with puzzle elements usually makes more sense than an adventure game with action elements. Still, I'm going to keep an eye on this one.
