  • GENERAL: Four Year Anniversary of the Source Code!

Here we are! Its been four years since the source codeh as been released. In that time there have been a lot of changes over 800 as a matter of fact.

Many have contributed not only to coding efforts but, just as important, playtesting as well.

Feel free to add your experiences, hope, and dreams as we go into year five of the Ctp2 source code release!

I'll say this again: the dedication of some of you folks is absolutely admirable.

It's great to finally see PBEM in a playable state, that would've been my hope before so

I guess now I'd just like to see all the existing bugs squashed, as I would hate to see the project come this far and be left with any critical bugs.

The many changes has held my intrest over the 4 years.
Its still fun to set up a game and get the feeling of building a empire.CtP2 has aged and has not the kind of AI system you would find in a game like Galciv. But its holding up for a game on its 8th year.
The coders has given the AI new life in that it manages its empire(cities) better and AI to AI diplomacy fix allows for times of peace for growth and times of war for expanding its borders.
Its hard to tell what the future holds for the game.

So, does my last executable as work as intended? Well, except for the fact that I broke again HotSeat, but that was a small problem.

            Not tested it yet.

The best part of the new playtest is the AI is sending larger stacks now to lead a attack!
Watching weaker civs fighting to fend off 10 and 12 stacks from aggressive civs.
Just a matter of some tweaks to diplomacy to make AI civs smarter and we could have a very polished game.
