I have a small patch that updates the (out-of-date) Linux port to build on Ubuntu 6.10 with gcc 4.1.2.

I've started a merge from trunk for revisions 444-656. According to the log files, I think that what needs to be merged in. There are, however, lots of conflicts to resolve: 1300 conflicts in 400 files, roughly. Most of them look like fairly simple fixes, but it's still going to take some time to work through them all. I wrote a perl script to automerge about 100 of them that were the same except for whitespace differences.

Is this something I should spend my time doing?

I'm not really a gamer, nor do I play CTP2, but I am a Linux programmer and that's what interests me about this project.
