  • English game data

    Hello...

after I've worked for some weeks with the CTP2 Source Code for a university's project, I now want to make some screenshots of the game. The problem is: the screenshots should show an english version of the game because we want to present our results in an english country. We (here in Germany) only have the german version. Where can I find the english data? Is it possible that someone can give me the english game data?

    Regards,
    jacquipre.

I think we edited most of the english gamedata it should be available in the patches posted in the first post of the Playtest thread and in my builds (in my signature). Probably since you installed the german version you would have to copy them into the german folder.

What did your university project do with CTP2 if we may ask?

Yes, replacing the language set on the .txt's files at the CTP_PROGRAM Folder (ENG to GER or ENG to SPA) changes the language completelly, since the Playtest Project has all the language files required for English, instead of overwritting the strings.

        Ok...I've got it, thanks.

In our university project, we developped an emotional music player, i.e. a mp3 player for the pc which plays music depending on special emotions. We implement some application examples: for example, someone is connected with some sensors while working on pc; those sensors detect the current emotion and play special music. Another application is that while playing a computer game the current game situation is detected and special (emotion tagged) music is played. For that kind of application, we choose CTP2... That is a research project and we will present this on a conference in autumn.

          Hi!

There is no need to overwrite your german files. You just need to modify the language setting -- instructions given here .
The modding knowledgebase: CTP2 Bureau (with CTP2 AE Modding Wiki). Modern Times Mod (work in progress): MoT-Mod for CTP2.
