The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.

I made it my desktop, it still looks good at 1600x1200
The artwork it's based on is all 800x600-based, so I'm not sure if it can be made much bigger than it already is. But I'll let OnePresent be the judge of that
To think my daddy said I'd never get anywhere with a career in graphic design.
Thanks for all the kind words. I grabbed the graphics directly from the program so this is no larger than the originals. As Locutus said, 800*600.
I was able to pull out the wheel/compass rose thingy since it sat on top of the other images. Medium compress jpg attached (aviailable on a transparent photoshop layer). The globes aren't clean of other objects. In the back of my mind I've seen some clip art with old globe artwork I might be find and replace this covered art, down the road.
Your are welcome to any of the files. They are in a photoshop doc with most of the elements on separate layers. We might be able to enlarge the graphics then apply an unsharp mask filter, that sometimes work.
A 3000 pixel wide image of the orginal Aployton Edition screen is is now in my upload space. This is the first time I've used this feature of Apolyton, I assume everyone can access it. The image was enlarged in photoshop and the unsharp mask was applied. The type stayed crisp, the graphics suffered.
Go into Upload area, and click on View in the right part of the page. In your file list, right click that file, and select Copy Link Location, or whatever your browser has, and paste that here in a post.
