  • UNITS: requirements

    I've searched this section of the forum and I haven't found a thread discussing this, so I'll get right to it.

    There are 2 things regarding unit requirements that I think could be nicely implemented in CtP:

    1) have certain units require certain resources (much like in Civ3).

    2) have certain units require certain city improvements to be able to build them in that city. For example, in order to build a tank, you would need a War Factory in that city.

    good stuff, but a lot on units has been circulated just not recently since most of the guys are working on bugs first

      #1 falls is part of the whole strategic resources debate, on which different people still have very different opinions. We'll have to see how that works out.

      #2 is already possible through SLIC, no need to alter the source code to make it possible.
