bit of advise look at the rest of the tread we are dealing with underwater at the moment I think locutos is planning something along that lines in a different thread
deep rivers can be made alredy by creating a long thin sea.

No but I am currently working on a formula to convert all deep tiles to really deep tiles so hopefully we will have really deep volcanoes rifts and everything else too

just saw this ok how about a Coral Reef(could be a good food resource that is available early on and easy to reach/exploit?), i think IW made one as a wonder in his Wonders Mod - so you might be able to see what he has done there?

edit: Perhaps they could give slower movement on small ships, aswell as kelp. I dont know if thats actually realistic though...

@ Maq, well i'm not sure what IW did ,or how he did it exactly, but there was meant to be the 'Great Barrier Reef' wonder in his Mod...and some of the others i did see were represented graphicaly on the terrain tiles in game.

I have come to a conclusion rifts, trenches and lava rifts will not be able to be created in close proximity to each other and continental shelf’s .
The exception to this rule will bee rifts and lava rifts who will bee able to inter connect

What does everybody think about moding some of the ctp terrain to fit into ctp2.

I always liked the forests from CtP1, you could even make them into a new terrain, they look kinda like "open woodland", you might have to change the shade of green on the ground though. The jungle looks more open too.
