  • GENERAL: Commented files?

I have found two files with comments inside:

    ..\ctp2_code\ai\list-fixed

    &

    ..\ctp2_code\gs\dbgen\lex.yy.c

The first one according to the comments at the bottom of the file is not a property of Activision. The second one is a file generated by flex when dbgen files are compiled.

If you know of any such file post it here.

All files with the pattern *Record.* in it. All these database record files are created by the ctpdb.exe. Unfortunatly when I build a ctp2.exe these files aren't generated from the *.cdb files. Also these *.cdb files have comments in it. All these files can be found in the ..\ctp2_code\gs\newdb\ folder.

I believe that comments were removed only from *.cpp and *.h files, so all the other file types (*.c, *.cdb, etc.) were missed.

The files in the ..\ctp2_code\gs\newdb\ folder are mostly *.cpp and *.h files with comments, well these files are generated automaticly by ctpdb. As it is stated in a comment in all of these files. As these files are generated automaticly why bother to remove the comments here.

I thought that it would have been *impossible* to remove the comments in them, since they didn't exist in the original source distribution, but, looking again, I see that they are in the original distribution, which is slightly strange, but not surprising.

Without them in the original distribution I would have had another big problem of compiling them, the files on my setup are the ones from the original distribution, that means none of them were build on my system, even if they should have been built.
