  • I already pointed it out, I think in the "miscellaneous source findings" thread...
I have actually implemented this. It is available in the "altered source code" thread now. Untested though, because I had an important soccer match to watch.

In future versions I would like to see it exposed in the tileimp.txt, with a flag like HealPercent or something like that. I also like to see a Freight flag there so that we can reimplement the trade route redirect option from the trade manager. I also like to see a HealPercent flag in the citystyle.txt. That would be a way to make the civs different depending on their style it should also be possible to select the city style a player uses like in Civ2.

the veteran bug fix: What about if the unit is getting upgraded, will it loose it's veteran flag?

Would be logical anyway, but just that we know

            • Sorry, but I was unable to test this. I could not find the upgrade button anywhere. Not that it would matter much: in CTP2 all units are part of an Army. It is common knowledge that after being in an Army, a unit can not be upgraded anymore. And generating Great Leaders is even more out of the question

On a more serious note: I assume that you are playing a modded version. My guess is that upgrading will replace the old unit with a brand new one. Whether or not it keeps the old unit's veteran status is up to the designer of the mod.

The altered code uses the veteran status of the unit when it is involved in combat. It does not modify the veteran status at all.

                thanks for the info.

And who the hell mentioned generating of great leaders

Leaving it to the modder is good , no really good
