Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition

Group: Celts (of course... )
Impossible level, and all other recommended settings.
BC
970 Cardiff and Kells established along 'our' river. Begin researching Water Lifts. Increase Wages and Hours (plenty of cash, but in need of production). PW to 30%. Initial production queues for both cities are Javlin Cav + 2x Nomad
925 - Both Javlin Cavs rushed to gain quick access to 3-move explorers
895 - Company discovered close by (Babylonians) as one of our Javlin Cavs stumbles across a Babylonian Nomad. Of course, we see little alternative but to attack this unfortunate soul, and thus begin our ancient age war. (besides, I can't STAND neighbors that close!)
880 - Nomad attacked (as mentioned above) and the war begins
865 - Migrant captured, and he begins making his way to Kells. Goody hut gives us a free unit...a second "King" unit! Double your pleasure....

820 Rush Cardiff's Nomad. Add 3 Heavy Swords to the production queue, bumping the second Nomad down (gotta get ready to get down in the mud).
745 - Mercenaries from goody...Charioteer...begin assembling my force at Cardiff for an early assault on Babylon.
715 - Carmarthen established, giving us three cities. Heavy sword rushed in Cardiff. Our army now consists of five (5) units: 2 Javlin Cavs, 1 Charioteer, 1 Heavy Sword, and our 2nd King (the pretender). We march.
610 - Samarra found to have only its garrison force defending. The city is captured with no losses, and we add 2x Hoplite to the production queue there and move on.

580 - Water Lifts researched. Now going for Monotheism.
565 - The army marches.
550 - Mari is captured. Three enemy units defeated, and our Heavy Sword is lost in the battle. Road built, connecting Cardiff and Samarra as a new Heavy Sword completes. Goody Hut yields Seamanship. Heavy Sword + 2x Hoplite added to Mari's queue and we now have 5 cities.
460 - 2nd Sword rushed in Mari as the army prepares to move again.
400 - No losses capturing Agade, guarded by two units. When we end the turn, Mari VANISHES, leaving its town garrison standing there and unable to move (I try). Disband him when it becomes apparent that I can't add him to the army. Kell's Nomad is ready to roll.
340 - Elba is captured and razed, being too close to recently captured Agade to be useful to me. We gain a Nomad from these machinations. (3 units defeated, no losses to the army of the celts).
325 - Babylon captured. Five units defeated, one heavy sword lost.
Game crashes to desktop at this point. I have tried rebooting, reloading, changing production queues, etc., but it seems that the game does not wish to continue, so test one has reached its end....but it was great fun!

Well you should read the AOM thread in this forum so you would know that Fromafar screwed up the builtin arrays of slic. That introduces some incompatibilities.
But it is right that you could continue the game with the playtest probably.
Vel was playing a development version but I do not know why his game started to crash.
Since then, no others have reported this problem and I and many have played well into the game and even achieved victory without a repeat of the problem.
