Has anyone been able to create or run new wonder movies or even still pictures?

I tried the CTP1 movies but they crash the game (possibly because they are a different size).

I tried resizing the avi but that did not work, nor creating a single frame avi of the standard ctp2 size (320 by 192).

    Any help appreciated.

Found the problem myself thanks. CTP1 movies have the extension .avi, ctp2 .AVI. Did not think the capitalisation made a difference.

I don't think this should make a difference. In fact I made the AI entity video show up in CTP2 and I did not renamed it. I only wrote the name with capitalized AVI in the uniticon.txt.

The issue was that while avi players like animation shop and movie player do not worry about the file extension being capitalised or not, CTP2 does (or more precisely, unitcon.txt does).

Once I realised that, there is no problem.

        Thanks.

No, size does not matter, CTP1 avi's are 320 by 240, ctp2 are 320 by 192. It just resizes them, so the ctp1 avi's have a black border, top and bottom.

nice. any problems making new ones? i.e. just taking the single frame civ3 wonders and having a long movie delay?

I think there is no need for a delay. They movie window should be open until you click on it.

Marin is right, I did a one frame one for code of Hammurabi and it just stayed there until clicked.

Well, use next time the edit post feature of this forum, maybe you will be fast enough so that no one won't notice it.

One thing I have been meaning to ask for a long time.

I am sure I have seen a fix somewhere for that annoying global warming message you get at the start of the game if max players is set higher than palyers but I cannot find it.

Can someone tell me where it is please?
