  • Tileset Index numbers.

I am a bit confused about the tileset index numbers.

I assumed that in tileimp.txt, tilesetindex 3 means TI number 3 in the Tile Viewer. However, this does not appear to be the case, eg
    (quoting from Hex's Cradle CRA_Tileimp.txt)
-pasture(no tileimp number) is tilesetindex 3 but TI number 1 is what appears.
-farm (tileimp no 1) is tilesetindex 5 but TI number 3 appears.
-advanced farm (tileimp no 2) is tilesetindex 8 but TI number 6 appears.
-fortifications (20) is tilesetindex 82 but ti number 32 appears.
-watch tower(tileimp 23) is tilesetindex 77 but ti number 56 appears.

Can anyone explain the numbering system please.

Yes I think I can make sence of this confusion

TO start with the number represents the TI ID (the bottom number in the tile imp frame) field so TilesetIndex 8 = the complete advanced farm (in the original game)

However these TI Id are not forced to be in order

Also in game you can have construction tile imps for instance when you build a fort you see an unmade fort then a semi finished fort and finally a working fort
