I saw an old thread on this, but it didn't have a resolution. I have installed a new copy of CTP2 (from gog.com) and the latest Apolyton overlay. I'm running Win7.

This has happened in all THREE games that I have attempted. The game crashes in the later part of the game (after almost all advances are discovered). My most recent game crashes (no explanation - just dumps me back to Windows) when going from year 2185 to 2186, but other games crash at other years (but not far from that).
Suspecting a Win7 incompatibility, I actually built a WinXP box but it exhibits the same behavior.
FWIW, I have pollution turned off.
Can anyone offer any insight?
