I was just looking for a spot to build a new city and noticed that settlers are no longer listed in the panel of things available to build.
The date is 540bc. Around turn 190. Do settlers stop existing at a certain time?
Are we expected to have all of our cities built by a certain date?
I don't see anything about it in the manual.
If so then I suppose that I don't really need the new city.
I was mostly thinking about stopping other nations from building in a gap in my border. So, if they can't build either then it doesn't matter.
I am using the Apolyton Pack which I installed shortly after starting the game.
Possibly installing after a game was started caused this.
As an experiment I opened the game using the original game files instead of the Apolyton Pack and now it won't allow the building of Settlers or Hoplites.
I then tried the Apolyton Pack again and it allowed Hoplites, but still no Settlers.
