  • A couple of questions

I know I've seen the answers to these before but I can't find them again...

    1) What is the code to disable the into. movie from running?
    2) Can you play in a windowed mode?

I'm running the latest playtest if it's any help.

I don't think so. Atleast I haven't seen it like that. Any one know for sure?

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I can't seem to get it to work correctly. Here's what the short cut looks like but I can't see where I'm going wrong (the game runs fine otherwise)

                No there isnt.

I asked the coders around if it were possible to make a windowed mode back when the sourcecode was released, IIRC the answer was generally a "no", or rather it would be quite a bit of work.

Shame, as it really comes in handy when hiding games quickly at work.

No Kidding. Well, at least source coding *looks* like work or did you think I was on all the time when I was home

I can't imagine an scenario when you alt+tab and switch to your Excel work, and you're boss opens My Documents when suddenly, the game switches back (happens to me when I switch between windows).

Yeah, would be nice seeing CtP2 having a windowed feature, I tried DxWnd but it runs on pre-Dx7 applications.

Has anyone working on the source code tried to make it windowable? That doesn't sound like it would be hard to do. I haven't looked at the source in a few years, but all the DDraw applications I've previously worked on I've added that feature with almost no effort.

I'll see if I can't find the time to look through the source myself and see if I could add it.

P.S. Since I haven't posted in about 2 years, hi to everyone who still remembers me.

It's embarassing, but I'm having trouble getting the code to compile... (It's embarassing because I've compiled this project several hundred times before...)

Anyways, looking through the code it doesn't look too hard. And it looks like there are already some hooks in place for it. Although you'd probably have to change your desktop to display 15 or 16 bits instead of the default 24/32 these days. As soon as I get it to compile I'll have a better idea.

                            Wow Pyaray, welcome back

I think everyone remembers who you are (read the game credits if unsure).

Hope you can help out the project some more

What are your compile problems? Does anything in this forum help?
