help to play multiplayer

im a ''new'' ctp2 player
and i can't find myself in the same ''lobby'' as my friend

i dont know if its something i did wrong in the profile creation...
this may be a dumb question but if someone could teach me how to play multiplayer with my friend...

Did you try looking in the FAQ? Could be Q23.

when i open the 'multiplayer' inside the game, it appears the type of connection page, then the profile
it doesnt appear the servers avaiable or anything related to IP
and i installed the patch and downloaded the servers.dat

im really confused...

What kind of connection do you select at the type of connection page? And what configuration do you actually have (internet, LAN, router(s))?
Without details, we can not do much more than point to the FAQ.

thats correct im sure...

Let's assume you are.

So, you must be on a LAN. In that case, Q23 is irrelevant, because the server is only used for internet play, not for TCP/IP LAN play.

Next suggestion: check Q67.

Hello guys,

I try to have CTP2 session with my friend. There is just one server available for internet playing, we see each other in the lobby and can chat but when someone creates a game, the other one can't join. There is a endless "joining loading screen"...

Well.. that sucks. Instead of direct IP they had to make these few choices...
