Finally got the LEGIT version of CTP2

yes finally, i will one day smash the crap out of that xplosiv version, but until then ill enjoy my CTP2 BUG/ERROR FREE!

anyways i got it for $16.94 shipped, it was NIB (new in box) here is a pic:


the case was chipped, but i didnt care it was still new!


anyways i started a new game and used the cheat mode to create a scenario and when i came up with a trade route i got this:


no its not a fluke, im wondering how on earth i got to do that, because it would be nice to do it again in a game where i dont cheat! perhaps playing it on extreme would help big time. anybody run into this glitch before?

The explosive version is legit, it is the same like the original version, except that the CD-check uses another check file and of course it doesn't has a tech poster and a manual.

Apart from that it is buggy and error free as the version with poster and manual.

I think this is a consequence of your cheating.

from the start the xplosiv version was buggy, the song on the multiplayer & new game screen would skip, and sometimes the game just closes itself with an error message, im glad i looked and found an original version and not some crappy copy.
maybe i got the bad copy out of a bunch, but from now on ill try to buy the original anything if i wanted to play a game bug/error free.

i just realized there arent in cities in space or space units that can bombard cities below...
i guess the xplosiv version really did suck, never getting far enough to build space age war ships...

sadly there is no space layer in ctp2, only in ctp1
