XP fails

Hello,

I just bought a version of CTP2 but I didn't know that it can't run on an XP system. The game starts but when I chose launch in de single player menu it always gives a black screen. Anyone has an idea on how to solve this? I tried to run it in Windows 95 and windows 2000 compatible mode but it still won’t work.
Please give me some idea on what to do

Three years ago I have had the same problem when I installed Win2000 and/or WinXP on my PC. Somehow, it seems that the installation process does not end properly from times to times, the installation program hangs for a few minutes when it reaches something around 90% and then ends abruptly without any error message. I had to reinstall CtP2 several times before it runs adequately. I think that this is the only available solution. Besides that, CtP2 runs perfectly well under WinXP...

One last thing, there is a WinXP CtP2 1.11 patch that you can download in the registry... you should download and install it.
