  • Alexander scenario:How to deal with Sogdians?

I've played this scenario several times, and they have been such a pain that I'm tempted to just send my troops around Sogdia until I've conquered all of India. I've just lost too many troops in rebellions. Anyone know a better strategy?

I've found another solution. Going south and attacking the Indians first seems to work well, the path is a bit longer, but worth it.The Indians keep me busy. I don't go for points, I play for conquest. After Tyre, I send some east, and use the gold from Babylonian treasuries to invade my "allies" in Greece, and a few to get the Ethopian gold {since my catapults are already there}. This splits my forces too much too much to take the northerly Sogdian route. It's slow going, as I prefer to use my horsemen to scout for armies that are outside cities when possible.
