  • Where are the ocean trenches?

A few weeks ago, I bought myself a copy of CTP2 (it cost only 49 SEK (US$7)) and started playing, downloading mods and modding some stuff by myself.

I have never seen ocean trenches on a computer-made map. Do they ever appear on them?

I have however managed to add them in the editor (between the shelf and deep water), but they don't look very good.

Could anyone please help me unveil the mysteries of the deep seas?

I usually get trenches a lot. I posted a picture in my Tiles forum of my new trenches which did appear from a computer made map.

E, werent those ridges? Trenches are the ones that sometimes appear after the continental shelf, well thats how it was supposed to be like in CtP1 they worked.

I know they trenches didnt appear before but didnt the Bigmc fix them?

The ridges appear, though they are straight and boring, but the trenches are nowhere to be found.

Furthermore, I can't find any coral reefs on the computer-made maps!

Seems like there are no proper tile graphics for trenches.

However, I can live without them. They are mostly just a kind of obstacle anyway.

I know I've had coral reefs, and there have been some deep sea things that may have been trenches, I'm not sure. they were very distinct from the ridges, with what looked like deep volcanic activity at the bottom (?)
