  • Save/reload problem

Sorry if this was already discussed, but the search doesn't work.

I noticed that when I reload a saved game, I 'gain' a turn : production, science, unit movements. I feel like I am cheating and I don't like it.
I have installed the official patch.

I assume you load from the autosave, or?

      No, I don't use autosave.

This is a normal game you saved (like at the nd of your turn, before ending your turn) ?

And you just reload it and this happens?

I save at the end of the turn or sometime in the middle of it, play some more and then I wanted to take it again from the previous save.

If you're playing a scenario, this is a known bug. It should be fixed in the Apolyton source code project release.

So this bug is only on scenarios?

Yes, and note that custom maps are also scenarios, only the map is given with starting positions or placed settlers.

So if you want to play scenarios then you should get our playtest version from the source code forum.

The bug is fixed in the playtest? I thought that the playtest has bugs of its own. After all is just a test...

The current playtest builds have few bugs - and if some are noticed, they get fixed soon. Our builds are now more stable and generally better than the original game with the patch.

Well the original game whether patched or not has bugs of its own as well, therefore you could consider the official patch as just a test as well. The reason why we don't call it something like CTP2 v.1.2 is that the source code came without the code for the first and only patch, therefore we have to readd the fixes of the patch on our own. As long as you don't want to play MP you will notice huge improvements in SP.

                        That's great!
I barely keep up with some games of Diplomacy. I don't have the courage yet to try MP. First to squize everything from SP.
