Also any suggestions of the sea alagea (it kind of bothers me)
I know what you mean, I think the problem is it stands out too much. Try a lighter shade to match the shallows, if they were both in black and white, make them almost the same shade of gray.

      Thanks Maq and EPW
I may do a cradle specific tiles (but need to see what Hex changed). Thanks for using the tiles I hope you like them. (I'm going to mess with the alagea now!)

i got the new tiles... its a good job

            but i was wondering if...
the beach tiles can have a slightly different water color from the shallow water... because as it is now, the shallow water looks a little too shallow and leaves the map looking too flat...

Your success looks awesome did you face a lot of competition as you did your cross sea colonizing?

No problem E and HuangShang, I just didn't want this to get thread too far off topic

I've actually had limited action on the continent I expanded to as Turkey is caught up in a war against the Phoenians. Turkey is by far the most powerful country and believe they have nearly 20 cities at this time. I have also made up little ground on the tech tree. The main action has been on my penisula...the city of Hamadan has exchanged hands at least EIGHT times between 5 different civs. I (stupidely) built the olympics in it which made it a popular target. I was finally able to retake with a whole bunch of elephants. My Capitol was also captured along with another major city deeper in my territory. When Turkey and Arabia relize that I am the significant threat rather than the other computer players I could be in trouble....

I've also noticed that the computers are using bombarding units very effectively.

You've got a natural chokepoint on that penninsula, which means that you can concentrate your forces to the south. I'd build a ton of units and slowly push outward. Confront forces out in the field with full stacks and many times they will back up.

Most of those cities on the penninsula can get by with minimal garrisons, so that will give you even more military to play with.

can you post a map of Hamdan, to see what the geography looks like around it?

How did your score say #1 but it looks like you were lagging in all areas on the charts...

                      Keep up the good fight.

The Greeks aren't very happy I captured one of their cities. They have been bombarding it for about 6 turns now killing the popultion and the troops:

UPDATE: the Greeks captured the city but lost about 25 units in the process..the population of the city is now 3.

Actually the Turks have taken a huge wonder lead putting me in second place. Luckily the Turks are under constant attack and have lost two wonders to Carthage and lost many of their border cities.
The Greeks are on the verge of collapse...they were able to successfully repel my attack taking back 3 of the 4 cities I took from them. They also took Hamadan They are however under attack by the Babylonians(who took Hamadan lol) and the Pheohicans and Arabians along with myself.

So far I must rate this game one of the best I have played
