  • Power points?

I just looked in the Units.txt and I saw that units have some parameters like "LossMoveToDmg" (always 0), "PowerPoints", "ShieldHunger", "FoodHunger" (also always 0).
Does anybody can say that those are about?

apparantly there are many functions(even in the simple text files) that weren't implimented in the final game release - it has been a pain for the modders trying to work out which are redundant or not. I think Locutus had a list of some kind?

I try to find that list.

      In the meantime, more questions
The size of the units (small, medium, large) has any effect besides the check if they could or not load on certain transport units?
      What "Bomb rounds" mean?

I attach the file I have.

LossMoveToDmg is suppposed to set how much the units movement rate is decreased by damage it takes. I think it had an effect in CTP1, but I don't think it does any more...

ShieldHunger and FoodHunger are also leftovers from CTP1 - they set how much production and food upkeep the unit needed (shields symbolizing production in Civ2...). I think the former has been replaced by another field and the both do nothing now.

PowerPoints was supposed to allow a multiplayer system whereby players had a certain number of points which they could use to 'buy' units for the start of the game in a quickstart mode, but it was never implemented. The field is used for another purpose in some fan-made SLIC somewhere (Maybe the unit updater?..).

ShieldHunger is the support cost you pay in production each turn, roughly 0.01% of initial production cost of a unit.

            edit: not 10%

              I thoght so...

Maquiladora - I don't understand what you want to say. Unit support cost money, not production.

No, production is used to support units. Look under the "PRODUCTION" section of the Empire Manager, it says "Unit Upkeep". Or in the Unit Manager in the advice tab, it tells you your "Military Upkeep: x% Prod."

You are right. I guess I mixed up with another game.
Still "Bomb rounds" has any use in the game or there is another thing not implemented?

You are right J Bytheway, the PowerPoints are indeed used in the APOL_Updater2. Peter and Pedrunn should know why.
