    I amplaying with Modswapper 1.2 The patch and I never had trouble when the operating system was Windows 98 Now I have Windows XP Home,A Dell 2.8 Pentium IV,512 megs memory,aGEforce 64 megs 3D card and Direct9.0B I can start a game such as the Apolyton Pack and It will play normally an occassional Desktop crash(CTD) But if I save a game and try to reload it crashes CTD immediately And then I Cant play until I reinstall Which is a shame I trie using Windows 98 compatability but that does not work I am sure it has something to do with Windows XP I am the only one that uses this computer so ther is no issue of administrative rights I need help and will the code modifiers be able to correct this I can seem to find anything on the forum

    There are some issues with Windows XP though most of the players are not experiencing any trouble. I have found that lowering the hardware acceleration prevents some problems under Win2000, it could also be the case with WinXP though I have not tried the trick myself myself...

    Your problem could be linked to the Diplomod 3.6 when the program is trying to create a new civilization after a Revolt... you should try to load an earlier save game and do a Reloadslic before resuming the game.

    Type ' to open the chat window.
    Type /reloadslic and hit Enter to run the command.
    Hit Enter again to close the chat window...

    This reinitializes a few things and should help the game to proceed normally.

    As far as I am concerned I am making a Quick Save every turn so that I can resume the game at any moment if there is a CTD.
