  • hosting a game with XP

My friend and i would like to play a game. We both have windows XP. We can both create games but the other can't join. I have done some research and it seems there are some problems with XP and hosting internet MP games. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

Try turning off XP's built in firewall, that may be the reason. No one has ever had trouble joining me but i have had trouble joining some people and later finding out they have XP but "dont know" if they have the firewall enabled or they disappear for 5 minutes and come back to the lobby and it suddenly works

I also have XP with Service Pack 1 if that would be an issue but i doubt it.

How do you turn off the XP built in firewall?
