  • Soo many mods..soo litte

What mods do you like to play with? I am thinking about crossing over to Med mod, or Craddle. This topic has been posted to death but I still like to hear what you grognards prefer. If you have a preference please post what it is you like about a particular mod...

    Thanks again

The only mod I have ever played is the SAP2 though I have modified many files to suit my taste... I have included Peter's updater2 in my SAP2 configuration and I wouldn't play without it now...

I have never felt the need to use another mod because I like the original game and I want to stay as close as possible to the original concepts.

[EDIT]I have played Martin's GoodMod with the SAP2 through the Democracy Game... I have liked it though I am yet to start a game of my own.[/EDIT]

How do I get my units updated with unit updater? Where do my units have to be?

All is explained in the Readme file larsenex:

II - HOW TO USE THE UPDATER2
        -----------------------

Using the updater is very easy:

1 - When your great nation discovers a new advance allowing you to update your units a message is displayed, just follow the instructions in the message boxes.

2 - In the turns following this discovery you can still update your units individually by clicking on the sleep button. Select your unit (if the units to update are part of an army, ungroup them all in order to select them one by one and don't forget to group them again as soon as you have finished). A self explanatory message is then displayed...
