I can only say that I am seriously considering installing WIN98 back, as WIN2000XP Pro has nothing but problems.
    ~Bleh~

I am not sure why, but in a regular Multiplayer Game, from time to time for no reasons, in says no scenario found and I havent any loaded, but still get that message.

Additionally, a real hard time fro anyone with WIN2000xp to join or host a mp game.

Unless you have win98, not much sucess joining a game.

Sad..but that the way it is my friend.

    Peace

There's a different solution too: play PBEM in some other game instead. I have been fiddling around with CtP under Win XP Pro now and the assumption it's an NT based OS problem seems to be true. However I would under no circumstances recommend you to downgrade your OS for one game.

Nothing wrong with a dual boot. Win98 is faster too...

Dual boot is the y way I went

I do not fully understand what exactly the problems are. Maybe go one at a time and I'll try.

Now the first problem sounds like it's a pbem saved game?
If so you would need to click on the game file on your desktop (right click) and choose "open with" then pick the CTP.exe file in your game directory. That should solve that one.

As far as the need disk in you could apply the no cd patch 1.25 (english) or the german no cd fix I have the links if you need them.

            Hope that helps?

Troll win 2000 seems to be no problem at all, winxp is another beast for sure. Standard tunneling meathods do not work like they do in NT or Win2000.

The ipsec has to be mastered a bit more, at least for me before I get it working.

As far as senerio not found I have never had that problem in winxp quite frankly I know no one else at this time that does, save you.

It must be related to change settings and or files?

                Pete

The only way to describe is this:

Say you and I play a game.
I save. we play say 40 turns. I save no problem.

I go to reload when we meet again and it says "No Scenario found".

So now that save is corrupt.

BUT, in mean time, same game setup, while you were away me and another player save and no problems.

Then you and I say ok..we try another new game and BAM it works fine.

I would understand if it was a file issue but I have no scenarios installed on my pc.

I play almost everyday, me and Erni, sometimes me and Stallin and sometimes me and Warlord Tormann.

VERY odd, for no rhyme or reason it comes up at different times with this message.

I also while awaiting another human player to show play in the MP lobby by myself, with dynamic join on, play say 50 turns or more, save go to lobby try to reload game and have the "No scenario found" message.

I restart a new game and no problems. I get to turn 200 and sometimes have the same issue and now all saves (even ones I could previously load) are corrupt.

Then maybe the next game will be ok to the end.

                Very Odd indeed?????

                Peace

I have disabled my firewall and am using Symantec Norton Anti-virus.
