CTP-ing with Med Mod 4

I have successfully installed the Med Mod 4, thanks to numerous helps I got from this forum. And works great. For the first time the AI are able to stand toe to toe with me (actually, i was dragging dangerously behind at the beginning). They built huge navies, managed their cities well and were far ahead of me in terms of science.
My civ had been on the edge of being wiped out for a long time. By the end of Ancient age, I have managed to take over several big cities from the weakening Russia, but what really saved me was the gunpower advance I got by searching a ruin. Thus I built large number of Bombards (before anyone was able to do so) and, launched a surprise attack on the Japanese capital city of Kyoto. The japanese were the superpower, the city of Kyoto had at least 5 wonder, and with this city in my hand, I readily put down riots in my cities (wonder adds happiness) and rapidly take over the crown of being the head civ.

the AI however wasn't smart enough to launch a large scale invasion or concentrate their power to take back their cities.
For example the Japanese, I suppose their empire suffered serious riot as result of losing their capital and several wonders, but they could have readily put togethor a powerful army and kick me out of Kyoto in no time, for their military was at least 3 times more powerful than mine. But instead, they retreated and left their empire to a stern decline until they'd lost about 1 half of their power.
