  • Cannot play hotseat using a custom map (zaz's) PLZ HELP !!

I'm trying to set up a hotseat game using the real world map (world24) provided by zaz but i can't figure out a way!
I have 1.2 activision ctp version withOut the 1.21 hack and obviously anything that spawns from there.

    This is what i do:
-I click on hotseat, and then i launch the editor.
-As soon as i done this the comp promps me with the civs that i want to be human/computer, i put the egyptians and americans as humans.
-Then, i enter the editor and load the saved game world24 (zaz's map) and kill most civs but three besides the egyptians and americans.
-I save the game and also save the edited "scenario".

Try opening the saved game, works properly, but onl allows single player mode!
Tried opening the scenario and it game me some weird error, requires "world domination!" which is the name of a file i saved in the previous step (it's the name of the saved game i think), and it is in the same dir but i dunno what to do to 'use' it.
Tried copying and pasting all relevant files to the save/scen folder and to the scenarios/example/scen0000, but they do not appear under the activision demo scenario.

I also tried using the welkarte28 map, and followed his instructions of pasting it in the maps folder but i don't know how to open the d@mned thing!

I know i got it all wrong, but i also know the only ppl that can help are u guys.

    Please Help

Hi Dragonlord, well I'm not to sure about the hotseat issue or how to load maps out of the map directory but here is an litte bit out of the 1.2 version readme on how to make scenario's work.
    quote:

    Step 4: Make a map
Launch the map editor. Create a map you want to use for your scenario. For this example, press the "Start Locs." button on the editor window, and select "Start Loc. by Civ". Place starting locations for the first four civs, Greeks, Americans, Scots, and Irish. Now click "Save Scenario As". In the first dialog that appears, enter My First Scenario, which must match exactly what you entered as the first line of ...\scenarios\MyScenarioPack\scen0000\scenario.txt . Click ok. On the next screen, which looks like a normal save game dialog, enter a folder name in which to save the game in the first text field ("Game:"). For this example, use the folder name "NewScen". This folder will be placed in ...\ctp_program\save\games\NewScen. In the second text field ("Save:") enter "savegame.csg". This is the filename that will be used to save the file inside the NewScen folder. You can use another name, but when you move the file to the actual scenario folder, it must be named savegame.csg, so it makes sense to name it that now.
At this point, you should have this file:
    ...\ctp_program\save\games\NewScen\savegame.csg
You should also have a scenario directory from step 1 at:
    ...\scenarios\MyScenarioPack\scen0000\
In order to make your newly saved map the map that is used for "My First Scenario", you just need to move ...\ctp_program\save\games\NewScen\savegame.csg to ...\scenarios\MyScenarioPack\scen0000\savegame.csg . Do that now. The complete list of files you've added under ...\scenarios should now look like this:
    ...\scenarios\MyScenarioPack\
    ...\scenarios\MyScenarioPack\packlist.txt
    ...\scenarios\MyScenarioPack\scen0000\
    ...\scenarios\MyScenarioPack\scen0000\scenario.txt
    ...\scenarios\MyScenarioPack\scen0000\savegame.csg

Hope that helps, if you have any other questions about scenario's it's all included in the readme. Hopefully this will solve your problem(the hotseat issue as well).
