  • Mods & Packs

    I asked this question on the med pack topic. Although I got an answer, it really wasn't all that I hoped to see. So I figured I would throw this out on its own.

    What mods, packs, scenarios work with which?
    Which will not work with others? Which order to load, does it matter.

    This site has many listed, plus a short summary, but nowhere does it put it together for someone who wants to try the mod route. It is very confusing for non-tech types. I consider myself fairly capable, having been dealing with computers since the early eighties, but I can not answer my own questions beyond the following;

    Update 1.2
    Apolyton Svc Pk1
    Medieval Mod
    Med Mod 3 or 4 Beta

    Other than this, I can only guess what order or even which work with these.

    And then there is the Celestial Dawn. What is the difference? Are the mods compatible, or are they distinct. It appears that they are distinct, and if you use CD, you can't use the non CD stuff.

    So, here is my challenge to you real old timers. Put the info in some logical order with a few notes, and put you answer here so those of us that have not followed all the topics and heard the comments will have some idea of what's what.

    I don't have much time for a long answer right now, so I'll just give a short answer. The Apolyton Pack is CD's mod with Harlan's city graphics and TP's Powerslics.

    The Medieval mod is built on the Apolyton Pack. Wes has added the Awesome AIPs and Nordicus' trade goods and made some of his own changes. The latest version of this mod is the v4 beta.

      I think all the info you need can be found in the Which mods should I get? A newbie guide. thread. If not, just yell (or rather, post, as more people will notice it then ).
      Hope this helps,

        Thanks, Locutus, I noticed it. I appreciate it, and I am sure many others will too. Wes could have just stuck it here, but putting it with a topic title as he did will get more attention.
