There is normally no problem running CTP from a WinXP machine.

But updating your CTP.exe file can never harm - do you have installed the official patch 1.2 and the "halfofficial" hack 1.21?

The first is needed for joining PBEM/MP games, the second recommended.

    Take a closer look here - Q10 and Q11: http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=71961

BTW: You have not been modding some of the gamedata files yet - have you .
First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.

Mr.Birdman, this is not entirely true.

In Multiplayer games, very few WIN2000XP players can play with one another. Me and Blackice have been able to, but most have a hard time joining each others games.

Pete (Blackice) says he is pretty sure why this is and it is a WIN2000XP Issue.

Sad, but most successful games are for those with WIN98 or 95.

      Peace

Ctp is for the most part winxp compatable. If you find problems like this it could be video card etc. One thing you can do is right click the ctp.exe file in the game directory. Click properties then compatability tab. Select win98 as the program you choose xp to run this program like. Apply and try it after a reboot.

        Let us know what happened.
