    Hi All,

I will also put in a vote for a WW I Rifleman. You could also use him in a WW II senario as a regular GI too. The helments were different and so were the rifles, but a WW I rifle and a WW II M-1 rifle look very similar.

Yeah, Morgoth, that is what I want. Just a mounted spearman with a shield.

About the WWI rifleman; I believe the Americans were the only nation with a semi-automatic rifle in WW II. I know that the Germans used the same bolt-action rifle they used in WW I.

Stabbing spear or throwing spear ie like the Javelin Cavalry but with a shield or like the heavy cavalry without armour? I don't really know of an equivalent to the former as the armour tended to come in before the shield (at least in the Greek/Successor style armies).

        I agree a WW1 style infantry is required and a WW1 Tank.

The shield isn't necessary. I would just like a mounted spearmen, with the thrusting attack.
If you remember back a few months, my initial concept for the ancient mounted assault unit was something like the Native American Sioux. Just a guy on a horse with a weapon, preferably a spear.

If you're talking combat units, depending on upcoming mods and whether or not I find the time to make my own (mod, that is...):

            Early Balloon
            Derigible
            Mounted Elephant
            Chariot
Barbarian (Gothic or Hunnish) - I was thinking that perhaps it's possible for an early unit to be made that only the barbarian civ could get...
