Making Maps for Scenarios

In CTP2 you had an option of Bigger Brush Strokes when making maps, as in not having to do 1 tile at a time. Is this possible within CTP1?

I want to make a bunch of Mountainous, River filled Islands with ample goods.

I was hoping to do this on a very large Map, maybe 250 X 250, but really dont feel like 1 tile at a time..

You cannot do this in game, but I believe that there is a bmp to ctp map converter, so you can draw in a paint program (with all the wonderful features therein) and then convert it to a map and import it (though you will have to place the goods afterwards).
